Oddinator.com makes it easier for visitors to find specific playlists among all the games Christopher Odd has played throughout the years. It allows you to search for a game title, filter games with genre tags or apply specific requirements to the query.

This site does not use cookies, but it stores your last visit as a date stamp in localStorage to highlight new videos since your last visit. Javascript is required for this site to function..

Infrastructure

This site was originally built with Gatsby and required manual updates every time a new video or playlist was released. This process was time-consuming and led to inconsistencies in the tagging of games.

To improve efficiency and reduce the manual workload, Oddinator was rebuilt using the Next and Supabase. Next is the framework behind the website itself and Supabase is the database which is handling storage and delivery of data.

We use scheduled runners to fetch and curate data from sources like YouTube and game databases automatically. These processes run autonomously, without manual intervention, ensuring accurate and current display of playlist, game and video information.
